  1. The event in my life that made me grow up so quickly, is going back to school to get my education. My father went to school to become a teacher, his younger brothers were taxi drivers. my dad was the only one who went to school, his brother’s admire him because he went to school to get his education. when i was a kid i saw my dad, during weekdays he wake up early in the morning, grab his bag to go to work. his brother’s work everyday but my dad dont work on weekends. That really change my life because he got the education and there is nothing in this world without not getting your education. That really made me change my life to forward my education to become a to be a responsible person.

  2. The event in my life that made me grow up quickly was when I moved out of my parents house. Back then I was 21 years old I have never lived on my own. I missed my mother but, I felt that if I made the decision to be om my own I have to act responsible. It was a little hard but I learn how to survive. My boyfriend and I work full time to pay the bills. Thank god we always had a place to live food to eat and never had to ask no one for anything. It was not easy especially not having a education. That is why I dont advice no one that is young. To move out of there parents house if they are not ready. Education should be your main goal. Once you finish school.Have your own money then you can think of being independent.

  4. being the onley person left in my familey it was a s hard and difacualt task to handle all responceabilaty; s on my own it made me grow up fast

  5. Many people go through events that made them grow up quickly in their life. Even if it was a bad situation or a good situation. Im going to tell you about the events that changed my life.

This all started when I was a freshman in highschool. My family was going through a financial struggle which encouraged me to help out and start working. At the age of 15 I was working and going to school. Me working really helped out my family, but I didn’t really have the energy to concentrate on my school. This made me fail in school so i decided to drop out.

Me dropping out of my second year of high school was the best thing that happened to me at that point, at least i thought it was. I figured that im young so it wouldn’t be problem to put school on hold. I decided to keep working so that I can support my family until things were settled down. Plus I would have more time on my hands to work more hours and bring more money into the household.

I did have more time on my hands, but I got denied more hours and they shotened my hours. So I ended up quitting my job and looking for another one. I eventually found a job, a job with consequences and risks I was willing to take. It worked out for a couple of months untill i got arrested. I thought my life was over, but it wasn’t. I got sentenced to probation and continued school. I completed highschool 4 years later.

So this event that happened in my life taught me to think more before I make decisions and to be more responsible. If I had thought more I would have finished highschool on time. It also helped me understand the concequences of a really bad situation.

  6. There were many different situations that I been through that made me grow up fast from being a child to an adult, the main things were things at home and in the streets learning from my older friends .
One of the things that made me grow up fast at home was learning to cook and clean the right way from my parents like dishes, washing clothes, cleaning my room, the bathroom and all making all types of foods so when I got hungry I didn’t have to wait on no body or when I got older and leaved alone I knew how to take care of my home and myself.
Having a child at a young age was also another thing that made me grow up fast having to work at and provide for my son to make sure he had everything he needed at the time and that also meant I had to give up a lot of things I did like hanging out with friends and stop doing the bad things in my life like drinking for one.
Hanging out with my older friends got me into a lot of trouble but I pick up a few good things from them as well like drawing and learning how to b a tattoo artist and to show respect to older people and learned the different between real and fake friends but at the end all you need is yourself but learning to do tattoos kept me out of trouble and got me into something I enjoy doing and still do till this day.
So growing up the way I did and going through the situations I went through help me become much wiser and a hard working adult and able to do a lot on my own and provide for my family in my own way and be more responsible and respectful as an adult.

  7. One of the qualities that I had learned since I was a child that changes my life is responsibility. One of the things I have grown to know that being responsibly was an important aspect of the human life.

First and foremost, my parent thought me to follow the rules at school such as listening to the teacher, for instant not wearing a hat during class. Be respectful and obedient not only to your parent but to every adult.

Secondly, I was a big help and savings to my brother, since my brother gets back home late; I always babysit his two kids until his wife comes home, instead of talking them to our neighbor’s home and pay them every week.

Lastly during one of the summer vacation, I went and spend the vacation with my family in Africa. I spend the summer by helping some of the with their school home work in the evening, they were so happy and thankful the entire 3 months that I spend with them.

Finally I think this events have made me a much responsibly and a benefit adult for myself, Babysitting for my brother’s two kids help him save a lot of money, and I was also a big help to my family back home by helping them with their school home work, teaching them how to be respectful and responsible, this series of event had a great impact on my life as an adult.

  8. An Event that Cause Me to Be Responsible at an Early age In Life

There were a few events in my young age that enforced me to grow-up and become responsible at an early age, but the most outstanding event of all that I can clearly recalled is growing up with my great grandmother and becoming head of her household at the age of 13 years old.

I was born and grow in Jamaica, W.I. and was raised by my great grandmother. Being the only girl child in the home, she teaches me all the qualities that a young lady should possessed and the duties of a woman in the household which I observed and absorb keenly. Unfortunately at the age of 13, my grandma who is my best friend became ill and was no longer able to carried her responsibilities as head of household and since I was her follower and the only girl, it was now my turn to take over her duties.

My duties includes taking care of the siblings, designate their choirs, cleaning, cooking, laundering, go shopping, doing financial transactions, taking care of the farm animals as well as going to school 5 days per week and getting good grades, while there was no time for me to have playmates. With all these responsibilities, I never stop to think I want to be a normal teenager, doing fun things. These responsibilities was all the fun I need. I Loved my grandma dearly and wanting to pleased her in every way. I was very enthusiastic in proving to her how responsible and grown I was.

My neighbors and family could not understand how I could be so responsible at such young age, while they thanked and commended me for carrying out such wonderful job. Yet no one could understand that it was the love I had for my grandma and the up growing that she instilled in me that gave me the capabilities to carried out her duties the way she would have done it. As the years went by she became more ill and now it was my turn to take care of her. During her disable age I still loved and cared of her to the best of my ability until her death and even to this day I still love and appreciated her for the woman she made me.

Being burden with such enormous responsibilities at an early age might seem unfair, but thank God for capabilities and endurance because without my grandma teachings I surly could not be the successful and responsible woman I am today.

  9. March 12, 2012 Essay Dominique Wester What made me grow up quickly was the fact that I had seven younger siblings that I had to care for. My mother was always out partying so I had to step up and take her part as a mother to my younger brothers and sisters. My dad was never around, and when he did come around the police always got involved so he pretty much stayed away. We hardly ever seen our mother she would come in the house like three o clock in the morning and she would be gone before the sun comes up. Me being the oldest I had to make sure my siblings did their homework, ate wash up, and got ready for bed. Me being the oldest I also had to cook clean, wash cloths make sure everyone cloths was ironed for the week and do my homework as well. It was ruff for me because I had to make sure they were doing good in school and I also had to maintain my school work and keep up my grades as well. Every morning I would wake up at 5:30am to wash up, brush my teeth, do my hair, cook breakfast, put on my cloths, and wake them up so they can eat and get ready for school Sometimes they would give me all kinds of trouble getting up which made my morning stressful. They all went to the same school so taken them to school was not hard. Sometimes I wouldn’t even go to school because I was so tried that I just stayed home and rested. They got out of school at 6:30 and I got out at 1:15,but I had a part time job so after school I would just go to work and leave at 5.At times I would ask my next door neighbor can she pick them up from me because I sometimes went food shopping or cloths shopping for them. By the time I got home their homework would be done, they would be fed, and they would be in the bed. So all I had to do was clean up, do my homework, eat, take a shower, and go to my bed. I really didn’t have much of a childhood I had to become a woman too soon in life.I don’t reget anything I did.Im not even mad at my mother because she thought she was making my life hard by never being home and having me take care of my siblings but all she did was teach me how to be an adult and I love her even more for that. It taught me to be responsible, how to be mature and it gave me wisdom.

  10. The event in my life that made me more responsible was when my father passed away. Having to get over his death and what happened changed my life around in so many ways. When I was sixteen I was forced to take care of my mother and be there for her support.
We had to move because my mother couldn’t afford the bills. After moving and having to adjust to a different environment made me grow up and have to face many obstacles. Having my father not around made me act out and get into trouble with the law. Getting in trouble a couple of times made me realize I had to prosper into a better future.
I felt getting my life together for my mother and I was the best thing to do. I started working trying to support my family. Although working was hard, I knew I had to keep going to be the man my family wanted to be. It definitely changed my behavior drastically having to take care of mother at such a young age, but growing up in my neighborhood and being introduced to new people changed my mentality as well.
I have a job and go to school so I do feel responsible. Now that I am grown up and I have succeeded in many things , I still feel like there is much more to go. I plan on achieving all my goals in life so I can one day be responsible enough to take care of my own family.
Many moments in life changed me from a child to an adult but this occurrence was the one I will hold onto forever. Young and having to support your family is hard but it also prepares you for life.

  11. What made me grow up quickly was being one of the oldest. Growing up I guess I had to mature quickly helping with my brothers and sisters around the house I really did not have much of a childhood never was able to go out with friends .
I told myself that I will never have kids!! All my friends where having babies their childhood was gone. When I found out my baby sister was pregnant I told her she was crazy she was only 15yrs old what did she know about having a kid she was just a child herself I watch her grow up from a little girl to a mom.
A year later my older sister was expecting I was like what’s going on I was there for both births “BOY”!!! We could not do the thing we use to do together my sisters where my best friends I did not understand what they were going throw until I found out I was going to have to grow up quicker than I thought .
I found out I was going to become a parent someone who was responsible for another person other than my self. Being a parent is not easy you learn something new every day and as my daughter grow older I became more of an adult .know as a mother of two I feel I’m a responsible adult

Partying was never a factor in my life I never had any real friends or guys in my life for matter. So I took my daughter out show her good times and she loved every minute we spend together. I teach her to enjoy life and everything that she does. Life is what u makes it and I’m really trying to make the best of my life and the things that I do.

Now I’m at a time in my life were there no play time so what that being said I manage to put myself back in school and now I have a better paying job in I moved out of my studio and found us a nice one bedroom apartment. So now when I look back on my life when I was a little girl I see things much clearer
